St. Dunstan's Church Is proud to take an active part in the vibrant and friendly Bellingham community.
Churches Together in Bellingham
St Dunstan's represents the Church of England in Churches Together in Bellingham (CTiB) in which we partner with Christ Church United Reformed Church and St Augustine's Roman Catholic Church.

CTiB run two key events in the community calendar. The first is 'Carols on the Green' every December, an open air community carol service on Bellingham Green (as the same suggests!). The second is the Good Friday Walk of Witness, which is joined by members of all three churches and anyone else who wishes to join in. The churches take turns to host hot-cross-buns and tea after the event. CTiB also lead the opening of Bellingham Festival (see below with an ecumenical blessing.)
Bellingham Festival
We are pleased and proud to take part in the annual Bellingham Festival, which takes place on the final Saturday of June each year on Bellingham Green, attractive attendances of upwards of 2,500 people each year.

As well as our clergy taking part in an ecumenical blessing to open the festival each year, we also have a lively and active presence selling a wide variety of foods and drinks to the festival goers, enabling us to connect with a large number of people, and have fun together - as well as raising funds! In 2018, we also hosted live music from the Lewisham Music Brass Band in the church for a mini-concert as part of the festival. (See below!)
Lewisham Music
Lewisham Music are a new charity providing musical tuition and opportunities for children and young people across Lewisham. They will have their base in the newly refurbished Fellowship Inn when it reopens later in 2019 and we have been working with our new neighbours to develop what we hope will be an active partnership. We have begun by hosting successful events with Lewisham Music including their 2017 Tutor Spectacular - a chance for students to listen to their tutors play and sing.

Most recently, we hosted the 2018 Lewisham Music Christmas Concert, which saw St Dunstan's full to bursting with talented young people and their parents for an evening of fabulous music entertainment, including the debut performance from the newly formed Bellingham Children's Choir! We hope to work with Lewisham Music to repeat these successful events in 2019!
